I photographed and spent a weekend with Meinhard and six other of the (at that time) still living munchkins, in 2000, for TV Guide. He was a really lovely man, very philosophical about the role munchkins & the movie play in popular culture. He'd gone to college and received a PhD, but then couldn't find a college who'd hire a small professor , in the 40's or 50's. Sad.
